Family Atmosphere

Families Are Welcome Here

We love families — and we want everyone to feel at home in this house!

All ages join together for the worship portion of our service, where kids and adults alike can celebrate and encounter God together.

During the message, nursery care (ages 1–3) and Sunday School (ages 3–11) are available, where children can learn about God in a fun and meaningful way.

Worship

At KGC, we love to worship God with passion and freedom. Our services are full of life, joy, and heartfelt expression — you might see people raising their hands, clapping, dancing, waving flags, kneeling, or lying before the Lord in worship.

You may also hear prayer in tongues or words of prophecy as people respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

We believe worship is for everyone — from the youngest to the oldest — and we encourage you to worship God freely and wholeheartedly.

Preaching & Prayer

Who We Are

What We're About

King’s Gate Church is a house of God's Presence
for all nations and generations.

We are:
Christ Centered
Scripture Rooted
Spirit Empowered
Making Disciples

At KGC, faith comes alive: healing the sick, restoring life, and overcoming darkness through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 10:8).

What We Believe

God & His Word

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe in one God, eternally revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe humanity is fallen and separated from God through sin. Salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—who was born of the Virgin Mary, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again in glory.

The Holy Spirit & Christian Life

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct empowering experience for believers, with biblical evidence including speaking in tongues. We believe the gifts of the Spirit, including healing and prophecy, are active today. Believers are called to live Spirit-filled lives of holiness, obedience, worship, prayer, and continual growth in Christ.

The Church & Its Mission

We believe the Church is Christ’s body on earth, called to worship God, preach the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate His kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe Christ continues to equip His Church through apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, preparing His spotless Bride for His return.

Eternity & Christ’s Return

We believe in water baptism and communion as biblical commands for believers. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, final judgment, eternal life for those who trust in Christ, eternal separation from God for those who reject Him, and the literal return of Jesus Christ for His victorious Church.

Leadership

Danny and Erin Wilson lead together as Senior Pastors at King's Gate Church.  They are also anointed worship leaders and teachers of the Word of God.  Danny and Erin are passionate to see the Body of Christ brought into wholeness, health and spiritual maturity.  They are passionate about the Presence of God, the Word of God, intimacy with the Holy Spirit, and obedience to Christ. They want to see people set free, develop an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, connect into healthy church family, and be transformed by the power and love of God.

History

King’s Gate Church was planted in Cochrane in the fall of 1980 by our founding pastors, Robert and Angela Butler. After immigrating from England in 1979, the Butlers felt a strong call to start a Spirit-filled work in the community. What began as a small gathering of five people in their home, known as New Life Christian Fellowship, soon grew. We moved to Manachaban School for Sunday services, and within a few years, purchased our first building—a warehouse on River Ave, which we transformed into a place of worship. In April 1994, our members began construction on the building we still call home today. By December 1994, the building was ready, and on January 15, 1995, we experienced a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit that ignited revival in our church.

Since then, countless lives have been transformed, and God’s presence continues to move powerfully among us. Every week, we experience His touch in worship, healing, and life-changing encounters. The river of the Spirit keeps flowing deeper, and our walk with God grows richer every day.

We are raising up the next generation of leaders, disciples and lovers of Jesus Christ, built upon the Word of God and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit!   We teach children to hear God's voice, develop prayer and intimacy with the Holy Spirit, worship with passion, and to know and love the Word of God so they can release the Kingdom of God wherever they go!

Small Wonders: Ages 0-3
Adventurers: Ages 3-6
Champions: Ages 7-11

Children's church begins after the worship service in the upper rooms. Children are dismissed from the sanctuary to join the classes after announcements.

Delta Youth

Delta Youth is our discipleship community for junior high (grades 6–8) and senior high (grades 9–12). We meet several times a month for fun nights, engaging Bible studies, and powerful worship, building friendships, and developing a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Women of Destiny

Women of Destiny was birthed out of a vision to see women discover who they are in Christ, and to encourage them to discover God's plan for their lives. Our ladies gatherings are some of the most spiritually charged meetings in our church. The ladies meetings are designed to bring the women together for worship, prayer, teaching, fun, and fellowship.

Men of Vision

We have a vision to see men grow in their faith and fulfill their God-given purpose. Our goal is to gather as men to build strong relationships through worship, prayer, Bible teaching, fun and friendship.  We want to lead each man to find their purpose and identity as men of God.  God has a calling on the life of every man, we just need to discover it.

We are currently offer Men's Bible Study, and social events.
